Symptoms
The following will be seen when fmthard(1M) detects overlapping partitions
$ fmthard -i -n "" /dev/rdsk/c1t2d0s2 > /tmp/mylabel
$ fmthard -s /tmp/mylabel -n "disk3" /dev/rdsk/c1t3d0s2
fmthard: Partition 0 overlaps partition 4. Overlap is allowed
only on partition on the full disk partition).
can't write new partition table to a disk
$ fmthard -s /tmp/mylabel -n "disk3" /dev/rdsk/c1t3d0s2
