Symptoms

Trying to instantiate a pool configuration fails:

# pooladm -n -c /etc/pooladm.conf
pooladm: configuration at '/etc/pooladm.conf' cannot be instantiated on current system

Or the pools:default service fails to start and goes to maintenance.


svc:/system/pools:default (resource pools framework)
State: maintenance since Thu Apr 07 12:52:48 2011
Reason: Start method exited with $SMF_EXIT_ERR_CONFIG.
