High Processor Usage Observed in Solaris for svc.configd (Doc ID 1326042.1)

Symptoms

Spikes in CPU usage observed for the svc.configd process, in association with higher system load values. Although the system may otherwise be idle, the total CPU usage of the svc.configd process periodically rises and at the same time the system load increases.
