When importing a new VirtualBox template or desktop images into the Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and utilizing a Sun Unified Storage server, submitted import jobs will fail with an error similar to the following:

Error importing: System job Job[30]: STORAGE_ACTION for [STORAGE_AND_ISCSI_RESOURCE: TARGET:4] with lock TARGET:4 failed: Error changing desktop state: com.sun.vda.service.api.ResourceException: Could not create target.

Examining the VDI cacao logs, additional findings show the following type errors that precede and trigger the above failure:

SEVERE: thr#221 Command "script run('cd /'); run('configuration'); run('san'); run('targets'); run('iscsi'); run('create'); run('set alias=vdi:ovbw-xbl77w1f0l20sdw'); run('set'); run('set auth=none'); run('set interfaces=nge0'); stdout = run('commit'); print(stdout)" failed on host!
Error code: 255
Output: aksh: uncaught error exception (code EAKSH_GENERIC_NOAUTH) in script: You are not authorized to perform this action. If you wish to proceed, contact an administrator to obtain the proper credentials.
