The following behavior was observed on a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) setup comprising Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Software 3.2.2, Oracle VM VirtualBox and a 7310 Storage.
An intermittent error, such as the one shown below is seen in the VDI cacao logs:
cacao:default: [ID 702911 daemon.error] com.sun.vda.service.storage.AmberStorage.ping : Command "script run('configuration version'); print('Ar' + 'Version:' + get('version'))" failed on host <IP>!
Error code: 1
cacao:default: [ID 702911 daemon.warning] com.sun.vda.service.core.SystemMonitorMgr.logErroneousList : Erroneous Storages:
cacao:default: [ID 702911 daemon.warning] com.sun.vda.service.core.SystemMonitorMgr.logErroneousList : Erroneous Desktops:
This error would result in desktops (that are being actively used) to be shown in 'Reserved' state, and the machine state as 'Powered off'.
Also, this would result in jobs (associated with those Desktop Providers) to remain in 'Queued' state.
