Symptoms

Machine accounts in Active Directory are given a "bad password" error when attempting to connect through to the IPC$ share on the 7000 Unified Storage System.

User accounts such as Administrator appear to work fine when accessing IPC$
The issue is only seen with the machine built-in accounts. For instance when using Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2/R3/SP2 and above) so that all required software can be installed on other windows clients from a particular share.

When attempting to access share using a "normal" AD user account everything works fine.
Permission on the share seems to be fine, and problem is only with the authentication.
