VTL - Failed To Expand Virtual Tape Id Virtual Tape (Doc ID 1338173.1)

Error message shows up in the vtl error logs saying that tape expansion failed, followed by ioctl time out error:

Jun 1 06:58:18 xxxxxxvtl08 sanidmgr[1007]: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] IPSTOR||0||E||0x00009c85||cannot expand tape||11323||-1
Jun 1 06:59:12 xxxxxxvtl08 kfsnbase: [ID 831650] FSNBASE ioctl_wait_timed_out(), pid -1990821088, function 10, owner_pid -1994978176, owner_function 44 

And then after few minutes message comes up in the log file saying that the tape gets expanded successfully:

Jun 1 06:59:27 xxxxxxvtl08 ipstorcomm: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] IPSTOR||1306925967||I||0x00002cef||expanded virtual tape||VIRTUAL TAPE id 11323||7168

Jun 1 06:59:28 xxxxxxvtl08 genunix: [ID 459543 kern.notice] <6>[fffffe80020d1c80] TLE_INFO: Tape 11323 Expanded successfully, new size 20401094656 bytes
