Message SLS4002I and CAP Commands Fail After a New CDS is Created (Doc ID 1348096.1)

This document is only applicable to an environment containing an SL8500 library.


Symptoms

CAP commands can fail after a new CDS is created.
Message SLS4002I is issued after a CAP command.
After maintenance is applied and a new CDS is created, the CAPs on SL8500 libraries are unusable.

Some of the error messages that may be encountered are:

SLS4002I ENTER CAP 00:01:00 FAILED. CAP IS UNALLOCATED 
SLS4002I CAPPREF CAP 00:01:00 FAILED. CAP IS UNALLOCATED 
SLS4002I MODIFY CAP 00:01:00 FAILED. CAP IS UNALLOCATED 

Changes

A new CDS was created.
