VLE - Unable to start vle services after a microcode upgrade due to MySql startup failure (Doc ID 1364385.1)

Symptoms

Problem
MySql start up failure after a vle microcode upgrade. an example of the MYSql follows.
vleadmin@engvle10-brm07:~$ /opt/SUNWvle/scripts/start_vle_services
Starting MySql, Tomcat and VLE services

Also zpool status will not display the vsbpool  as shown with the following zpool status command.
