This will document will outline the procedure to re-enable an LSI 6 Gbps SAS RAID HBA-attached disk which was removed in error.
This procedure applies to the Option SGX-SAS6-R-INT-Z HBA found in both x86 standalone servers and the Exadata Database Machine:
- Sun Fire X4170 M2
- Sun Fire X4270 M2
- Sun Fire X4470, X4470 M2
- Netra X4270
- Oracle Exadata Storage Expansion X2-2, V2, X2-2, X2-8
This procedure will not work for disks attached to the HBA in a SPARC platform
