Symptoms
Under certain conditions, a SAM-QFS filesystem can become corrupted beyond repair. When this happens, a samfsck -FV against the unmounted filesystem will fail with the message :
samfsck: ALERT: Basic checks of .inodes and/or .blocks failed
File system may be critically damaged.
