Information in this document applies to any platform.
Under certain conditions, a SAM-QFS filesystem can become corrupted beyond repair. When this happens, a samfsck -FV against the unmounted filesystem will fail with the message :
samfsck: ALERT: Basic checks of .inodes and/or .blocks failed
File system may be critically damaged.
# samfsck -FV samfs1 samfsck: Filesystem samfs1 superblock: fsck bits = none name: samfs1 version: 2 INFO: FS samfs1 last repaired: Sun Oct 24 14:44:17 2010 First pass samfsck: ALERT: Basic checks of .inodes and/or .blocks failed File system may be critically damaged.
