Purpose
OBDiag is a fully interactive diagnostic tool launched at the OBP which validates the functionality of the I/O subsystems for both on-board and plug-in pci cards. OBDiag is a diagnostic test suite which provides a user-friendly interface when running tests to verify the following hardware areas:
- On-board I/O channels, such as serial ports, parallel ports, audio and graphics ports.
- On-board devices such as SCSI, ethernet and floppy.
- Non-core motherboard devices, such as FLASH, NVRAM, and environmental controls.
- Plug-in cards with native FCode drivers.
