Patches 148096-01 and 148097-01 (CR 6953874) impact the behaviour of bash when invoked via /usr/bin/ssh -n (Doc ID 1387089.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 17, 2016

Applies to:

Solaris Operating System - Version 10 3/05 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

After installing patch 148096-01, the behavior of bash when called via "ssh -n hostname command" has changed. Previously, this command caused the user's .bashrc file to be sourced before executing the command. This no longer happens.

Installing Patches 148096-01 and 148097-01 and using ssh -n with the bash shell exposes this behaviour.
