The following applies to Oracle Branded Fibre Channel (FC) HBAs in Solaris OS servers. NOTE: Do not confuse FC HBA Fcode with other types of fcode/firmware on servers.
Where appropriate, specific sections of this document also attempt to point out similarities and differences in behavior between Oracle and non-Oracle sourced HBAs. However, Oracle does not support HBAs purchased from other sources and non-Oracle HBA behavior may change without notice. For official direction and support of non-Oracle HBAs, customers should engage their HBA vendor.
