Release 3 provides new features that require new licenses and may affect existing licenses.
NOTE: This document is obsolete. As of 4.5 or 5.2, all features are licensed.

Upgrading from R2.8 to R3.x
Release 3 includes a set of new features that may either require new licenses or affect existing licenses. The Account Representative is responsible for requesting appropriate R3 licenses.
IMPORTANT! Licenses highlighted in bold and red in the following table are new or changed in R3. Note also the following:
The R2 Snap LUN feature has been changed to the R3 Clone LUN feature.
The FS Thin Provisioning feature replaces the R2 Growth feature. Existing R2 filesystems will require the FS Thin Provisioning license for automatic growth, but will continue to function as long as growth is not required.
