Symptoms
After installing recommended patch cluster for Solaris 10 Update 9 release (s10u9), user failed to login with Active Directory Server authentication.
Changes
The change is introduced by the Samba patch 119757-20 which updates the Samba version to 3.5.8 . The user is using 119757-17 which is samba release 3.0.37. The 119757-20 release uses a new configuration directory ie. /etc/samba as opposed to the older one which used in the /etc/sfw.
User has to migrate their original smb.conf and the /etc/sfw/private directory over to the /etc/samba directory.
