Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure: Machine Objects Are Sometimes Missing In Active Directory when recloning preexisting Desktops (Doc ID 1400378.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 06, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure - Version 3.2 to 3.5.1 [Release 3.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When re-cloning existing Virtual Desktop infrastructure (VDI) desktops, the cloning job may complete successfully within VDI and the desktop may successfully join the Windows domain--but a corresponding object may not be created within the Windows Active Directory (AD) server database.

When users try to log into a desktop in this state, they will be unable to do so because the machine object does not exist in AD.
