Solaris Cluster 3.x Node/System/Server Panic With "CMM: Shutdown timer expired. Halting." (Doc ID 1401233.1)

Symptoms

Solaris Cluster panics with the following message after shut down:

Sat Sep 24 09:42:16 2011| NOTICE: CMM: Node cluster-node2 (nodeid = 2) is dead.
Sat Sep 24 09:42:23 2011| syncing file systems...
Sat Sep 24 09:42:26 2011| done
Sat Sep 24 09:42:27 2011| WARNING: CMM: Node being shut down.
Sat Sep 24 09:42:35 2011| Notifying cluster that this node is panicking
Sat Sep 24 09:42:35 2011| panic[cpu12]/thread=3014a988040:
Sat Sep 24 09:42:35 2011| CMM: Shutdown timer expired. Halting.
