Purpose

The purpose of this document is to assist a user in resolving management Browser User Interface ( BUI ) and Command Line Interface ( CLI ) connectivity/responsiveness issues.

If SSH to the appliance drops the user into the emergency shell, the end user must open a support session to allow the Oracle System Support team remote access to the system to troubleshoot and fix this issue.

 Excessive kernel virtual memory (exceeding the 32-bit VM limit)
 Excessive amount of 'old' analytics
 Excessive amount of 'old' log files
 Excessive use of contracts
 Excessive amount of AKD process (memory) heap fragmentation
 System pool is 'full'
 Faulty (?) hardware issue
 Issue with supportbundle upload or 'phone home'
 Changing the replication target IP address
 Issues with Replication updates
 Insufficient memory

 Hang due to Analytics Bug
 Re-silvering of the zpool can have an effect on Replication
 AKD can hang while exiting which causes the BUI and CLI to be inaccessible
 When AKD is restarted while replication is active can cause AKD to hang while releasing peer tokens .
