Aclmode No Longer Available In ZFS With Solaris 10 update 10 (Doc ID 1420153.1)

Symptoms

The aclmode property is no longer recognized once Solaris is upgraded to Update 10.  The ACLs applied to the newly created files will also be different compared to pre-Update 10.

# zfs set aclmode=passthrough tank
cannot set property for 'tank': invalid property 'aclmode'
# zfs set aclmode=groupmask tank
cannot set property for 'tank': invalid property 'aclmode'

Before patching:

# touch abc ; ls -lF abc ; ls -Vd abc | fgrep appworx
-rw-------+ 1 root g9obfs 0 Feb 1 09:30 abc
user:appworx:-------A---C--:------:deny
user:appworx:rwxp----------:------:deny
user:appworx:rwxp-Da---c--s:------:allow
user:appworx:-------A---C--:------:deny

After patching:

# touch abc ; ls -lF abc ; ls -Vd abc | fgrep appwxdv
-rw-------+ 1 root g9obfs 0 Feb 1 09:31 abc
user:appwxdv:--------------:------:deny
user:appwxdv:-----Da---c--s:------:allow
user:appwxdv:--------------:------:deny
