A mismatch JP locale causes an FTP session to abort on Solaris 11 (Doc ID 1434713.1)

Symptoms

[Environment]
FTP server:Solaris 11  LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8
FTP client:Solaris 10

1, When client LANG=ja_JP.eucJP, client can NOT connect FTP server.

solterm$ LANG=ja_JP.eucJP
solterm$ ftp t5220h1
Connected to t5220h1.
220 ::ffff:192.168.10.161 FTP421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection
ftp> quit



2, When LANG=ja_JP.PCK, client can NOT connect FTP server too.

solterm$ LANG=ja_JP.PCK
solterm$ ftp t5220h1
Connected to t5220h1.
220 ::ffff:192.168.10.161 FTP繧オ繝シ繝舌・繧定オキ蜍輔@縺ヲ縺・∪縺421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection
ftp> quit



3, When LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8, client CAN connect FTP server.

solterm$ LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8
solterm$ ftp t5220h1
Connected to t5220h1.
220 ::ffff:192.168.10.161 FTP server is starting....
Name (t5220h1:nnishiok):
331 please input password of nnishiok



4, If FTP server (Solaris 11) LANG=C, there is no such issue.
