File System Full and Swap Space Limit Exceeded Errors In Global And Non Global Zones (Doc ID 1439162.1)

Symptoms

On a system with this condition, applications within the zone will fail to start, and other memory related issues will be reported.  The messages file on the machine will generally contain messages similar to the following examples:


WARNING: /etc/svc/volatile: File system full, swap space limit exceeded

WARNING: <zonepath>/root/etc/svc/volatile: File system full, swap space limit exceeded

WARNING: <zonepath>/root/tmp: File system full, swap space limit exceeded

WARNING: Sorry, no swap space to grow stack for pid <pid> (<process>)
