Ops Center Agent Fills /Var/Adm/Messages File (Doc ID 1442433.1)

Symptoms

Many customers are using Ops Center to manage their systems.

The Ops Center Agent is using the libmpapi calls every 5 minutes to scan for new FC-LUNs (performed by a binary xvmluinfo, part of Ops Center Agent).

It is very common to use the /etc/syslog.conf entry of "*.debug" to monitor error messages of applications and/or servers.

This syslog.entry is now causing on all Solaris 10 Agents a filling up of /var/adm/messages.
