Sun Ray clients sharing a common Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) infrastructure experience intermittent disconnects in the middle of active Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) sessions and a return to the VDI login screen.

Sun Ray log files e.g /var/opt/SUNWut/log/messages might show errors like these:

34 in.dhcpd ... Client :<MAC-ID> is trying to renew <address>, an IP address it has not leased.
34 dhcpd ... Duplicate offer of <IP address> to client: <MAC address>

WHERE <MAC-ID> is the client's Mac ID

          <address> is an IP address
          <MAC address> is the client's MAC address

The DHCP infrastructure was recently modified or upgraded.
