Solaris Cluster 3.x and Oracle RAC /var should NOT be a separate partition (Doc ID 1446971.1)

Solaris Cluster Geographic Edition - Version 3.0 to 3.3 U2 [Release 3.0 to 3.3]
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (32-bit)
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)

Symptoms

If using Solaris Cluster 3.x on SPARC with Oracle RAC by using ORCLudlm package then /var partition can not be a separate partition.

Check if your system is affected via
# pkginfo ORCLudlm
and verify configuration of /var partition in /etc/vfstab

or if running Solaris Cluster 3.3 5/11 Update1 you can do:
# cluster check -v -C S6984119
