How to preserve secondary device in "boot-device" pointing to the mirrored disk of the activated BE.

Solaris Operating System - Version 8 6/00 U1 to 10 1/13 U11 [Release 8.0 to 10.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
When the primary boot-device fails and boot disks are mirrored regardless whether it's under ZFS (Solaris 10 and above) or UFS (using SVM or VxVM for Solaris 8, 9, & 10) and using Live Upgrade, the system will automatically try to boot from the secondary boot-device if auto-boot? is set to true. But if this is a disk from the previous active BE (Booting Environment), this could cause unexpected problems during boot.
The luactivate will only change the primary boot-device and use the first boot disk of the newly activated BE but will leave the secondary boot-device for the previous BE.
So the next question would be, how to preserve the secondary boot-device pointing to the mirrored disk of the activated BE.
