Goal
Firefox 2.x and Thunderbird 2.x are bundled with Solaris 10 update 8 or earlier.
Firefox 3.x and Thunderbird 3.x are bundled with Solaris 10 update 9 and later,
NOTE: Firefox and Thunderbird are no longer supported in the Oracle Solaris 10 release. Instead use the Oracle Solaris 11 release for the latest Firefox ESR and Thunderbird versions.
Although we recommend upgrading to the latest Solaris release, this document explains how to update Firefox/Thunderbird 2.x to 3.x for the user who can't upgrade the system to the latest Solaris.
