Solaris Volume Manager (SVM) All meta Commands Error With "/dev/md/admin: No such file or directory" (Doc ID 1462447.1)

Symptoms

After a successful install of Solaris Volume Manager, all SVM commands are failing with the same error. For example.

 

Changes

Solstice DiskSuite (SDS) may of just been installed on the system. SDS came on its own installation CD for Solaris 7 and Solaris 8. This could be a contributing factor to the problem. (With Solaris 9, SVM was bundled into the install of solaris.)
