Incorrect key mapping while using Swiss-German (QWERTZ) keyboard with Oracle Virtual Desktop Client For Mac OS X
(Doc ID 1466186.1)
Last updated on MAY 28, 2020
Applies to:
Oracle Virtual Desktop Client - Version 3.1 and laterApple Mac OS X (Intel) (32-bit)
Symptoms
When using the Oracle Virtual Desktop Client (OVDC) version 3.1, the Keyboard mapping can fail with both Auto Detection and manual settings while using Swiss-German (QWERTZ) Keyboard.
Auto Detection would result in a 'QWERTY' setting, while even a manual selection to Swiss-German (Country Code 92 or 28) would make no effect.
However, choosing a US keyboard (Code 97), which would result in QWERTZ setting and special characters (such as slash, hyphen, etc.,) being mixed up.
