Samba share access fails using the hostname when a DNS alias is added for the Samba server with patch 119757-20 and later (Doc ID 1467317.1)

After installing the Solaris 10 Samba patches 119757-20 or 119757-21, it was reported that access to Samba shares on a system that has both a hostname and alias, (CNAME record in DNS) will fail when the hostname is used.

Access using the alias or IP address will succeed.

On a Windows XP system as a client The Map Network Drive will fail with the dialogs boxes:

 The Solaris 10 Samba Patch 119757-20 and later was installed. This updates Solaris Samba to version 3.5.8 and 3.5.10
