Symptoms

When Using Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), the queue of Desktops waiting to be recycled may be much larger than it is normally. This is seen from the VDI Admin GUI or the command line.  Information on monitoring VDI can be found at:

Review of the Storage used with VDI reports high latency and unusually high disk I/O.

Changes

An update has been pushed out to all desktops simultaneously and each desktop is trying to install the update at the same time as  the others.
