OpsCenter 12c R1 (12.1.1.0) ONLY: A restart of the Ops Center cacao agent on a control domain can unexpectedly restart guests having auto recovery enabled (Doc ID 1480564.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2023

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Ops Center - Version 12C to 12.1 [Release 12.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

NOTE: This issue affects only OpsCenter 12c R1( 12.1.1.0).

Ldom guests may mysteriously reboot one to several minutes after a cacao agent restart of the control domain.

On a control domain with attached guests having the automatic recovery enabled, if you perform an Ops Center cacao agent restart on the control domain (the control domain being still up and running) you may see that each agent restart on the control domain is triggering an unexpected restart / reboot of logical domains if the automatic recovery is enabled on the server.

As an example, when we upgrade the Solaris 11 agent bundle from 2076 to 2078 we are going to stop and start the agent and potentially cause this to happen.
