When logadm rotates a file from a wildcard entry the options are not duplicated to the timestamped line

(Doc ID 1491046.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 14, 2016

Applies to:

Solaris Operating System - Version 10 10/08 U6 to 10 8/11 U10 [Release 10.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Logfiles get rotated but writing continues to the original rotated file rather than the new logfile.

This can result in the rotated file growing without limit.

Added custom options to smf_logs line in /etc/logadm.conf
