Samba log has messages "create_connection_session_info Failed: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED" after upgrade from version 3.0.37 (Doc ID 1498305.1)

Symptoms

After applying a Samba patch, 119757-20 (SPARC) 119758-20 (X86) and newer, that would upgrade Solaris 10 Samba to version 3.5.X and later, these errors were being recorded on the Samba log file /var/samba/log/log.smbd

[2012/09/11 12:01:41.117121,  1] smbd/service.c:770(make_connection_snum)
  create_connection_session_info failed: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED

Despite the messages no users were reporting Samba share access failures.

 

 

Changes

Applying the Solaris 10 patch version that would upgrade Samba from the version 3.0.37, present with patch revision -19 installed, to one of the later Samba versions.
