Symptoms

A SSH connection attempt, ssh, scp, or sftp, to a SPARC T4 system using the Blowfish Encryption mode/cipher will fail to connect. The sshd daemon will report the following errors:

sshd[PID###]: [ID 800047 auth.info] Disconnecting: Bad packet length.
sshd[PID###]: [ID 800047 auth.info] Disconnecting: Bad packet length.
