Configuring Apache Log Rotation for Secure Global Desktop Deployments on Solaris
Last updated on JULY 18, 2017
Applies to:Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 4.5 to 5.2 [Release 4.0 to 5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Secure Global Desktop (SGD) is bundled with several third party components to facilitate webservices integration and a seamless 'out of the box' experience, including the Apache webserver.
While a standard installation of SGD will automatically rotate the SGD-specific logs, there is no such mechanism for the independent Apache component. This document outlines the procedure to configure Apache log rotation for SGD deployments on Solaris, specifically for the access_log and error_logs, which may grow to a substantial size over time.
