UltraSPARC T2-based Systems Hang On Boot After Upgrade to Kernel Patch 147440-25 (and later kernel patches) OR Solaris 11 update 1

Symptoms
After applying the Oct 2012 CPU (Critical Patch Updates) or patchset or kernel 147440-25 (and later kernel patches), or after upgrading to Solaris 11 update 1 Release the system may hang on the subsequent reboot.

This has been reported on the following UltraSPARC T2 processor systems with OBP below 4.29.1:
- Sun Blade T6320
- Sun SPARC[tm] Enterprise T5120
- Sun SPARC[tm] Enterprise T5220
- Sun SPARC[tm] Enterprise T5240
- Sun SPARC[tm] Enterprise T5140
This issue may also affect the following servers but has not been confirmed
- Sun SPARC[tm] Enterprise T5440
- Netra[tm] T5220 Server
- Sun Netra[tm] T5440 Server
This issue may not only happen on bare metal systems, but also in LDoms running on these system types
