How to Fix Whole Root Zone OS Corruption (Doc ID 1510780.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 01, 2016

Applies to:

Solaris Operating System - Version 10 3/05 to 10 1/13 U11 [Release 10.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This document explains how to recover OS files within a whole root zone in case they become corrupted (ie. system files are missing or have been overwritten).

This does not really apply to sparse root zones because all the system libraries and binaries are shared with the global zone.
