Symptoms

The Slave server in a Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) cluster is shown to be down.  Repeated attempts to restart the VDI or MySQL services on the Slave server do not resolve the issue.

The vda-center status when run on the Master server shows:

  

VDI core services are otherwise working as expected on the Slave host. This problem only appears to be seen when checking the status of the Master and Slave roles using the vda-center status and vda-db-status commands
