Symptoms

Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Administrator may find that the secondary node in a VDI Cluster is not properly replicating the mysql DB anymore.

This may be verified using the following commands:

# /opt/SUNWvda/sbin/vda-center status
HOST NAME                                HOST STATUS    SERVICE                  SERVICE STATUS
VDI-NODE2.domain.com                     Up             VDI Database Replication Down
VDI-NODE1.domain.com                     Up             VDI Database             Up
# /opt/SUNWvda/sbin/vda-db-status
Ip/Hostname Database host                           Role    Status
----------------------------------------------------------------------
VDI-NODE1.domain.com                                Master  up
VDI-NODE2.domain.com                                Slave   down

Rebooting or restarting services does not bring the node up again.
