'zip -P' option availability

Symptoms
The follow error occurs while executing "zip -P",
zip error: Invalid command arguments (encryption not supported)
System is a Sun Fire E25k.
Kernel version: SunOS 5.10 Generic_147440-09, S10 U8.
# zip -P
On systems running s10u8, s10u9, execute zip -P and received the following error:
zip error: Invalid command arguments (option 'P' (encrypt entries, option value is password) requires a value)
