Last updated on JULY 29, 2016

Applies to:

Sun Ray Software - Version SRS 4 to SRS 5.4.4 [Release 4.0 to 5.0]
Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure - Version 3.4.1 to 3.5.2 [Release 3.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Sun Ray Administrators may encounter a crash of the Webadmin GUI after clicking on the 'Token' tab.

This condition may be verified by searching for the following string within the /var/opt/SUNWut/messages log.

ldap_search_s() failed: Sizelimit exceeded

When in this state, the command /opt/SUNWut/sbin/utuser -o will generate the same error:

/opt/SUNWut/sbin/utuser -o
ldap_search_s() failed: Sizelimit exceeded
Internal error: could not get user list from administration server.

You will also get the the same error when searching users directly from the internal LDAP server:

# ldapsearch -h sunray1 -p 7012 -D "cn=utadmin,utname=sunray1,o=v1,o=utdata" -w `/opt/SUNWut/sbin/utpw -p` -b "utname=rawTokens,utname=sunray1,o=v1,o=utdata" uttokentype=USER dn
...
dn: utid=GEMPLUS-GemClub-Memo.c06a0300,utname=rawTokens,utname=sunray1,o=v1,o=utdata
ldap_search: Sizelimit exceeded

Note: Replace all "sunray1" strings with the customer SRS server name. You may find the SRS server name from /var/opt/SUNWut/srds/log/utdsd.log:

Fri May 27 09:34 : conn=26 op=3 SRCH base="utname=rawTokens,utname=sunray1,o=v1,o=utdata" scope=2 filter="(&(utid=DEFAULT.XCONFIG)(objectclass=UTXCONFIG))"
