Last updated on JULY 20, 2023
Applies to:
Enterprise Manager Ops Center - Version 11g to 12C [Release 11.0 to 12.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
An Ops Center OS Provision job (OSP) can result in an asset having a client IP rendition of a hostname. For example, take a host with an IP address of <IP>. The OS provisioning can result in a hostname that looks like this:
01/17/2013 09:50:11 AM EST INFO Started installation for <HOSTNAME>. Running preinstall scripts. (32540)
In this case the system is assigned a hostname comprised of the different IP address segments separated by dashes, instead of the given hostname.
Changes
Upon OS provision of a target agent.
