How to Boot Solaris from the grub2 Command Line (Doc ID 1525204.1)

Solaris Operating System - Version 11.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

Solaris 11.1 contains the new grub2 boot loader.
If the grub menu does not load while booting x86 Solaris customers would need to either boot from the DVD or use the grub command line to boot the OS.
The grub2 command line mode is significantly different then the previous grub1 command line.
