Symptoms

When using Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), users connecting to VDI see the Available Desktops screen, no desktops listed, and messages stating:

An internal error occurred

 

Currently there is no desktop available or assigned to you

are seen. 

The "vda-center status" command’s output indicates "Could not retrieve database status. The VDI Service is currently
unavailable." e.g.

 

and the "vdadbconnection.properties" file in "/etc/opt/SUNWvda" has the wrong fully qualified domain name of the master database host in the "eclipselink.jdbc.url" setting.
