SAM-QFS: How to Reset Staging Status (samcmd n) 'curr' Number of Files Back to Zero (Doc ID 1531475.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 09, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Hierarchical Storage Manager (HSM) and StorageTek QFS Software - Version 5.1 to 5.3 [Release 5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Set the 'current' parameter, shown in 'samcmd n' output, which shows how many files are waiting to be staged, back to '0'.

In the example below, SAMQFS is reporting that there are 'curr 12284' files waiting to be staged in the 'samcmd n' output:

# /opt/SUNWsamfs/sbin/samcmd n

Staging status samcmd      5.1.4 19:00:06 Feb  7 2013
samcmd on samfs123
maxactive 80000 curr 12284

But these 12284 files are not listed anywhere in 'samcmd u', 'samcmd n' or 'samcmd w' output.
