SMC Client Gets SMC0128 Messages When Attempting to Communicate with a 7.1 or Higher Server (Doc ID 1531559.1)

Sun StorageTek Storage Management Component (SMC) - Version 6.2 and later
IBM z/OS on System z

Symptoms

SMC 6.2 client cannot communicate with the new 7.2 server

SMC 7.0 client cannot communicate with new 7.1 server.

 
The TAPEPLEX in the SMC0128 message is defined to the SMC client.

Changes

Upgrading to ELS 7.1 or higher.
