Solaris Cluster 3.x Unable to Start HA-Samba Resource After Upgrade or Patching (Doc ID 1531594.1)

Symptoms

After installing Samba patches Solaris Cluster is unable to start HA-Samba resources.


SunPatch 119757-22 SunOS 5.10: Samba patch
or
SunPatch 119757-22 SunOS 5.10_x86: Samba patch

Solaris Cluster is unable to start HA-Samba resources. The cluster may be able to start the HA-Samba resources once but fails every time after.


The start method will fail with messages similar to the following in /var/adm/messages:

Installation of Samba patches or
Upgrade of Samba release.
