Oracle Secure Global Desktop Does Not Synchronize Gateways For Newly Added Array Members (Doc ID 1534206.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 21, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 4.62 to 5.0 [Release 4.0 to 5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In an environment in which one or more Secure Global Desktop (SGD) Gateway servers are in front of a SGD array, if new array member(s) are added after the "tarantella gateway add" command used to connect the Gateway servers with the SGD servers is used, the new array member(s) will not know of the new Gateway server(s).

To confirm this, run the command on the SGD server (as an SGD administrator e.g. root)

on a server that was already in array and also on a server that was added to the SGD array after the Gateway was added.  The output from the first server will list the gateway.  The output from the second will not.

More information on SGD and the SGD Gateway can be found at:

Changes

Adding a Gateway to an array and then adding a server to the array.
