Symptoms

Oracle Secure Global Desktop (SGD) array upgrade from 4.70.909 to 5.00.907 on Solaris 11.1 environment may fail like this:

1) The primary node upgrade from 4.70.909 to 5.00.907 is successful.
2) However, while upgrading any of the secondary nodes,  uninstall / install may fail as shown below:

# /opt/tarantella/bin/tarantella uninstall --purge        -> ok
# /usr/sbin/pkgadd -d tta-5.00-907.sol-x86.pkg            -> ok
# /opt/tarantella/bin/tarantella start                    -> FAIL
